We are a group of West and East Amwell residents working together to protect our rural community from becoming overrun with large-scale, environmentally unfriendly cannabis factories.

We are working to protect our water source - to keep our wells running and our water clean.

Polluted water, dry wells, persistent skunk odors, warehouse sprawl, traffic and noise can ruin our town, reduce our property values and have caused outrage and regret in other communities.

We are not against development and cannabis business and believe that either can be net positives when:

1. Community input is part of the planning process

2. Elected officials hire independent professionals to perform appropriate studies and analysis

3. Elected officials openly share that analysis and seek input

4. Elected official balance the potential benefits, costs and risks

5. Elected officials and the professionals hired have no personal financial interests in the outcome
